LOS ANGELES (MarketWatch) -- Chinese financials rallied in Shanghai early Tuesday, with the gains coinciding with the central bank adding liquidity to the market after holding back on such a move in recent days despite a climb in money-market rates. The People's Bank of China offered some 13 billion yuan ($2.1 billion) in reverse repurchase agreements Tuesday, adding cash to the market after refraining from doing so last week. Financial shares were sharply higher in Shanghai, with Bank of China Ltd. (CN:601988) (BACHY) up 2.2%, Industrial Bank Co. (CN:601166) rallying 5.1%, China Minsheng Banking Corp. (CN:600016) (CMAKY) adding 4.1%, and Ping An Insurance Group Co. (CN:601318) (PNGAY) 4.2% higher.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Chris Ciovacco]
In Thursday's ETF analysis, evidence is presented that supports increasing demand for assets that get a tailwind from a weak U.S. dollar, including emerging markets (EEM) and foreign stocks (EFA). Casting a wider economic net, our market model told us to start buying stocks last week even with the threat of a U.S. default. Wednesday, we continued with our incremental allocation shifts by adding some exposure to the energy sector. Thursday, we sat tight holding long positions in small caps (IJR), Europe (FEZ), emerging markets and technology (QQQ). The upper bounds of the bullish S&P 500 trend channel shown below may offer some resistance to the market's near vertical ascent.

The news out of the Eurozone continues to improve as their Purchasing Managers Index rose to 51.7 in August consistent with an expanding economy. The chart shows a nice trend here suggesting that the worst by indeed be over. A deeper pullback in some of the euro ETFs like SPDR Euro STOXX 50 ETF (FEZ) should create a buying opportunity.

Advisors' Opinion:- [By Sean Williams]
Insurance I wouldn't touch
Let me preface this by saying that I agree with most analyst assessments that the mortgage insurance sector is improving. Legacy defaults from the financial crisis are slowly working their way off many insurers' books and liquidity for many mortgage insurers is improving. However, I can't really say the same for MGIC Investment, which I added to my short-list a few weeks ago. This week, I'm also going to add its peer Radian Group (NYSE: RDN ) to that list after an abysmal first-quarter report.
